19. Stick to the List

Your grocery list.  At least I hope you have a grocery list…some people don’t (my inner A-type is anxious at this prospect).  But I am assuming you do already (for my own mental wellbeing).

So todays tip is simple.  Stick to the list.  If it’s not on the list, don’t buy it!  You likely wrote down all the healthy, required food for the next coming days so stick with the healthy stuff!

Eat a good meal before heading out so pangs of hunger don’t force you to buy those double stuffed Oreos.  Don’t even go down the soda pop and chips aisles!  And put blinders on at the cash register where the marketing people strategically place all those goodies.

And in a dire emergency you can bring a pen.  And write whatever it is on the list before throwing it in your cart.  At least that way you are pausing to be more mindful of what it is actually needed in your at-home pantry.
